I just installed time machine to a local harddrive and it worked without any problems (in the beginning). So anyway, I restarted eventually and instead of getting Darwin bootloader I got a flashing underscore! I reinstalled and tried all kinds of fdisks commands ! Help!
Thanks,
peter

I have no idea what guid and efi are. How do i check?
Would it be possible to simply overwrite the entire disk with 0s? I heard about this dd command somewhere...
Thanks !

My time machine backup was on the same hdd ! And also its the bootloader that isn't working..
Anyways I found out that my drive was guid.. How do i change it back to mbr?
I have yet to find out what EDI is...
hmm you have 2 solution 1: install using MBR partition 2: http://osx.kbot.de/comments.php?DiscussionID=71&page=1#Item_26 fix the guid partition
