I also have a thread on how I installed SL on my EX58-UD5.

Thank you, you could maybe help me a little more ...
When you say :

Create a folder named Extra on the Install partition and copy these items to it:

* com.apple.Boot.plist
....
....

How do you do that whithout a working OSX for the install ? The manipulation of DVD files part is where i don't get it .. i only have windows to modify snow leopard files ..

;)

EDIT : and the other tut' is the same : "One HDD (installer HDD) contains a running version of OSX" ... I never had Osx running on my PC and don't have a mac around here ..

Then you should not be installing SL.

Find a copy of iATKOS, Kalyway, iPC OSX 86, iDeneb, or XXX OSX 86 10.5.x distributions and install one of them.

This will get a copy of 10.5 on a drive from which you can install SL.

Learn on the easier Leopard install before tackling SL.

If you don't understand, i tried Kaliway, iPC, iDeneb, Leo4All and iATKOS v7 and NONE of them worked further that 1st boot install ... am i really doing something wrong somewhere ?

Je comprend .....

With the EX58 board, if you don't boot with ....

-v cpus=1 busratio=20

.. then the install will fail.
