Using the nForce LAN-chip, and has deactivated one core on the processor. The marvell-chip just is slow and stalls.
Got some problems with the overall stability, so I'm waiting anxiously for rev. 2

OS X: Leopard 10.5.1 by zephyroth
Laptop: Asus Z92KM ( A6KM based barebone )
CPU: AMD Turion 64 2.0 Ghz
Chipset: SiS
Memory: 1GB DDR333
Graphic: GeForce Go 7300 64MB ( works, native resolution, CI,QE )
Audio: Realtek on SiS 7012 chipset, works with additional kext for that SiS
HD: Fujitsu MHV2100AH PL 100gb 5400RPM ATA133
Optical: TSST DVDRW
Network: Wireless broadcom (works, with WPA etc.), wired realtek 1mbit (somewhat works, is not able to detect cable plug/unplug after boot, but otherwise works fine)
Firewire: seems to work, not tested
IrDA: not working
Card reader: some Ricoh based, not working
Control: Touchpad and keybord works

Did NOT work with a fresh install. Upgrading from Tiger worked fine, all kext for tiger worked.
I still have problems with booting on battery probably due to SiS ATA kext (kernel panic). Without it hdd work in PIO mode, but the boot gets farther (still problems though). Everything works fine on AC power.

Try this, erase the ionetworkingfamily & forcedeth-d, restart, open the kext.zip and drag & drop over system/library/extensions open a terminal and type this:

sudo -s
password (your password)

cd /system/library/extensions

chmod -R 755 * && chown -R root:wheel *

cd ..

rm -r Extensions.mkext

kextcache -a i386 -e

reboot

go to the preferences panel, Network

add a new location

add a new ethernet device using automathic DHCP

reboot and cross your fingers :D

I have two of these and two other Athlon 64 nForce 3/4 combinations. (3,1 TB HD and 9200 MHz total ;)
All components are working 100% on 10.4.7, on 10.5.1 the X1600 has artefacts and no mode selection.

Crazy: The NEC ND-3540A isn't recognized in BIOS, but fully working in MacOS!

Too bad that Apple dumped Power PC's, however we wouldn't get OSX working on our OSx86 machines :P

Try this

reboot and cross your fingers :D

Finger crossed, I have installed the kext, booted without cpus=1 flag, System Profiler reports two cores, everything seems to work, Azureus is downloading fast and no freezes for now.

JoeTheWise

Roisoft, your solution was not stable, the system now doesn't freeze anymore, but sometimes crashes and ask for reboot...
With the cpus=1 flag everything works again and is solid rock...
Do you think it have something to do with fact I don't use automatic DHCP and I insert IP address manually?
I have to do that way because for opening ports in the router I have to have a fixed IP address...

I don´t think so....I have A8n32-sli and my system is solid rock..try to install EFI, efi contributes to the system stability

This set up is pretty solid.Using EFI v8 it has fixed my NForce Lan freeze by using the forcedeth_nockd (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=19475) kext. The only things not working now are PS/2 (It freezes the entire system if I attempt to use the PS/2 Keyboard, as in if I try to type on it.), the DVD-Rom refuses to eject after being used to install programs (System profile, Disk Util, and Finder all freeze after trying to eject, and sleep the machine won't goto sleep properly. All Eject attempts don't work.) and So far the only program NOT working is iMovie 8.

Edit: It appears the NForce Lan Freeze still exists it was just hiding from me.

MB: Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3
Mem: 2Gb GSKILL

sound: on motherboard: Realtek ALC883 codec chip (working with ALC883Audio.mpkg)
Dvd: Lite On
Hard Drive: IDE Maxtor 5T020H2 (20gb) (old but works)

I have to say this was a project to get to work as I was totally new to OS X, but i want to thank everyone for your help/ support and search-able forum posts.

@raisoft : I plugged an apple 30 inches and a damn french usb keyboard which doesn't give me access to all keys. But it's the same box as on the pics :)

Since I tried to install Nvidia and forcedeth, everything is broken. It freezes on boot without error. Maybe it's the NIS access without a network card ?

I asked Zeph's to test 10.5.2 on this computer two weeks ago, but he didn't reply. I hope that I will get less problems with this version.

I relaunch a fresh 10.5.1 install. I will give you results of Xbench when it will be done.

It will be a Leopard box only. No other OS.

The device id is 0x00cd (0x00cd10de with nvidia part).

I don't know exactly what card is it. But I think it's an old one.

Edit : Seems to be a Nvidia Quadro FX 3450/4000 maybe after a google search. It's written "Nvidia quadro fx" on it.

you need to re-edit the Info.plist of Geforce.kext NVDANVx0Hal.kext and NVDAResman.kext with your DeviceID only without &0xfff0ffff

Need some help - I finally got the system to boot into Leopard, setup acct etc. Runs fine is stable. However, I have no sound, No ATI video card support and the onboard LAN does not work.

Ive tried to find the kexts for the lan and sound, but have not been successful. WIth looking, I think I can manage the ATI video issue. Help is appreciated

crencom, you and i have the same motherboard, i know that the lan does not work. I tried a lot to get it to.. eventually got a new nic off ebay for the cheap and used Tulip drivers to get it to work. As for the sound card, all you need is the ALC883Audio.mpkg and google found it

http://files.filefront.com/ALC883Audiompkgzip/;7166030;/fileinfo.html

the NIC that I bought was the same as, and same seller too
http://cgi.ebay.com/PCI-10-100-Realtek-8139-LAN-Network-NIC-Adapter-p155_W0QQitemZ180215264550QQihZ008QQcategoryZ64049 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

he says it is realtek, but I am not sure. It was made by Tenda (model # TEL9939DI) and shows up as an ADMtek AN983 - thus the need for the Tulip drivers. Shipping was slow as it was so cheap. But it works!

hope that this helps.

On board networking wouldnt work, so i threw in a Linksys lne100tx, and the tulip kexts .. just disable DHCP and IPv6, and you're good to go.
Sound needed the aziliaaudio package, however, no input. But, the logitech quickcam provided a USB mic, so there's input :D

I've installed EFI recently, and i'm preparing to go to 10.5.2, let you all know how it works.

10.5.2 installed w/o a hitch :D
