Hey guys, I have no idea if any of the boot loaders are open source or how hard it is to write a boot loader but im pretty google savvy and computer savvy, I want MAC on my PC because its cheaper and its just awesome to tell people hey, ever donew this? and their like OMG coolll.

so yeah, iv tryed TONS of boot loaders through Virtual Box. iv gotten the kext boot loader to work once then it didnt get anywhere after that i dont remember wich one was probobly an EFI EMPIRE AMD one anyways, I wanna know what boot loaders are available as open source, AND if there are any tutorials on what any of it means, where i can start to learn how to write a boot loader based off of ones that are already open source, (im pretty sure their all open source or at least thats what iv read who knows) but yeah anyways, i want info on how to make a boot loader...

SPECKS:

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2GHz
PCI Express Galaxy GeForce GT 430
Gigabyte 880GM-D2H AM3 CPU Ready
Uh, cant find the box for my DVD+RW system info from win7 says under Name: ATAPI iHAS424 B ATA Device

basicly just want basic information on what i want to accomplish and where to go from there.

All bootloaders will already work with AMD cause they actually are not platform specific. I believe what you're trying to achieve is an AMD-compatible kernel ?
