So I finally got ethernet working on iATKOS L2 (I have an NVIDIA nForce ethernet card) by using kexts from iATKOS S3. It worked well... for 60 seconds. After that, it just stopped loading web pages (the loading bar gets 1/8 of the way, and hangs there.) But the weird thing is that in the network prefpane, it says it's still connected, using DHCP, and gives me my LAN IP.... but I can't connect to my router's settings either (IP is 10.0.0.1, and it works whether or not the router is connected to the internet)!! Gah!!

This is extremely frustrating, can anyone help?

Full machine specs: Acer Aspire X1700

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce G100 (Integrated)
Audio: Realtek HDA card
Network: Dial-up modem and NVIDIA nForce ethernet card
Mobo: nForce
DVD: Optiarc DVD+/-R & RAM drive

If you use nForceLAN get the older version of it. I had so many problems with the latest one (with one being a similar problem as yours).

Try 0.64.5 :)

Will do, but I noticed that the nForce card is using a different driver. According to system profiler, it says it uses IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/nvenet.kext, not nForceLAN. I'll post back after I try your suggestion.

Doesn't work; same issue--- it says I'm connected in system prefs, but I can't get on the internet. This is after rebooting, and reloading the kext many times.

Well, I personally had to get rid of the nvenet.kext first. And then I just used nForceLAN, you might want to try to move the nvenet.kext out of that folder for a test. :)

Be sure to remove your extensions.mkext as well.

My MCP78 Lan (Geforce 8200 chipset), based on Realtek 8211BL, works awesome with nvenet.kext from 10.6.0, it never worked with nForceLan.kext
