I think that model is not supported at the moment.

Which bootloader do you use? The latest version?

ACPI Error

Hey Everyone!

I've been trying also but I always get a kernel panic during boot:

"Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".\n"@\Users/nawcom/Builds/xnu-1504.9.26/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1393"

Any ideas?

I haven't touched it and my system runs fine, maybe there is something wrong in the disc and it's software instead?

Personally I have seen 2 ways for making a successful install:

- Using the retail discs on a real Mac/Intel hackintosh and swapping the hdd after install
- Using iAtkos L2 (Install by running OSInstall.mpkg on Snow Leo)

I can confirm both of those work. Not personally tried iAtkos, but my mate did. I don't really trust Niresh's dvd since I don't think he has a special kernel. On some people it does indeed boot but gets stuck on root device.

I can confirm that DP2 Finder works, but it won't on startup for some reason it causes a hang before the desktop. Moving it before boot and placing it in /System/Library/CoreServices after boot works.

GA-Z68XP-UD3: Lion 10.7.3, Windows 7 Professional 64bit SP1 and FreeBSD 9-RELEASE, Core i5 2500K @ 3.3GHz, 16GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 ram(Soon), 1GB GDDR5 Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti, 2X 1TB Samsung F3 SATA HDDs, 1X WDC Blue 500GB HDD; Dell Mini 10v: Obsidian Black, 2GB DDR2 533MHz Ram, 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270, 120GB HDD, 6-Cell, Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 Build 10K549

Got the Finder app! Have not tested yet, but I have found my DP2 lion and does have the setting to run in 32bit mode Please test and check if it does work by replacing finder in System/Library/CoreServices

Niresh

OK guys i have been into nireshes install and i can confirm that "Kernel Cache"=\amd is very smart cause it autodetects your model and takes the right Kernel. But of course booting hangs after loading boot device :/ and osinstall.mpkg is not iCpu free so i couldnt install it that way and Xcode doesnt work so i dont have flat package editor to change it :/. And when i tried to boot from the DVD my system hangs on logon screen.

And can someone confirm that DVD images cannot be scanned for restore???

It looks like xpchelper quits and refuses to start causing some apps to just hang when starting ...

Looks like it works on my end BUT I have not restarted yet to confirm scififan68's finding of it causing a hang at login ...

I just restarted and there was no hang at login ... The annoying xpchelper crashes are still occurring though !
