The update went smoothly for me too. My phone feels much 'snappier' which proves to me that Apple has really optimised the software. I'm rather impressed with the new features and am wondering to myself if there really is any need to jailbreak considering that most of the features I require are now native.

love the new update, like people said feels a lot faster and i will be one who wont be going back to jailbreak i think, no need anymore the only possible reason i might go back is for themes and a weird feature, when i restored my settings from a backup i had of a jailbroken iphone now on the OS 3.0 i have a percentage of the battery i have left sitting next to the battery icon which is quite cool iphone is currently syncing with all my content, but when it finishes i will post up the shot

edit:

iMac ::: Mac OS X 10.6.1 ::: Intel Core2Duo 2.93GHz ::: NVIDIA Geforce GT 120 256MB ::: 4GB DDR3 RAM

Thats strange but i've heard some ppl testing beta saying that there is % battery meter in OS3.0 but i dont know how to turn it on - or is it true anyway.

But what i have to say - i love the spotlight. I know already that i will use it a looot. It works great, and i never imagined it'll be so fast. MMS is working, copy/paste working, undo/redo also, horizontal mode which i've written of before. What i still miss is sending photos via BT or WIFI, but well, maybe some 3rd party app will enable that.

I haven't fiddled with my iPhone in a while. It's on 2.1 and...it does what I need it to but these features are something that I'd like to upgrade to.

My question is, how do I upgrade to 3.0 without loosing all my Jailbroken and patched AppStore Apps. I remember there was a backup utility a while ago for 1.x.x but I haven't heard anything since. Any help would be appreciated.
