iPortable Snow on AMD

Somewhat of a newbie here and just wanted to share what I have accomplished. Installed iPortable Snow x86 first on portable harddrive and was able to get it up and running per guide included in iPortable Snow x86 download. The motherboard I was using with Intel Duo Core processor had issue with the onboard ethernet and could not get Radeon HD 4550 resolution to change. After dealing with it, decided to hook up my portable to another PC that my son was using (school work windows only compatible) MSI motherboard with AMD processor, ATI X800 video card with Soundblaster Audiogy 4 sound card thinking let me try this and see, even though per iPortable Snow x86 says AMD not yet supported Intel only.

Well, the iPortable Snow x86 on my portable hard drive booted up with no problem, logged into my desktop and was working smoothly and great. Ran iTunes and few other apps with no problem, no freezing up or anything.

So decided to swap motherboards because I am building an HTPC. Got everything changed out and powered up the computer along with iPortable Snow x86 and booted right up. Ran programs, ran iTunes, got the video resolution working fine, ethernet and sound working, did some updates, powered on and off several times, transferred iPortable to second hard drive in HTPC so I now have both windows and iPortable Snow x86 running without using portable harddrive. Did not change anything from initial install of iPortable Snow x86 except installing kext for video card and sound card. Have no issues as of now.

Who would have thought!
