I am having problems booting iPC 10.5.6 Final edition, I keep getting a "USBF:" then a line appears then few minutes later "still waiting for root device" appears, Would a USB install fix this problem?

"Still Waiting For Root Device" probably means that You don't have your chipset supported. You have to use modified AppleVIAATA.kext or any other which suits your chipset. So, what is your chipset ?
