Thanks! I have it working on my system now. Installed and am running Retail/Native OS X (with the voodoo kernel and extensions in the EFI partition of course  )
Now I just have to fix my audio and video and I'll be all set.
using v6.1
EDIT: the previous install was performed as a test to an external Hard Drive. The following attachments are partial screenshots of the new system in a before/after natively updating to 10.5.5.
