It doesn't actually "crash", the installation works. PPF5 is going to be out probably by the end of tonight to fix that, it's an error but not one that causes the installation to actually fail. If you boot up again without the DVD in the computer, it should take you right to the welcome video.

However, it's most likely that since your card is old, Apple may have finally phased out support for this card as they did to the 5x00 and some 6x00 GeForce cards.

Okay, I'm a little new to this...

What are the PPF's? What is "patching" a DVD install? I've had great success with Kalyway 10.5.2., and iDeneb 10.5.5 seems okay, had a few problems with it. They've both done the job of persuading me to buy either a real Mac, or a license for Mac OS. So just wondering what all this "patching" is all about.

Thanks guys!

crash

Hi,
my system crashes after selecting Safari. I've made a few screenshots. Look like the ethernet adapter causes the problem. How can I solve this?

I'm a bit confused by this. Obviously macs with these older cards works fine, so when you say Apple has "phased them out" what do you mean? My MBP with an X1600 works fine, as does my G4 Cube with a flashed 6200. I'm just a little curious about it.

I'm having a small issue with my install, and it could be more of an OS thing than an iPC thing, but whenever i reboot or logout, upon reentering the OS, my settings for Spaces behavior (activating on middle mouse click, switching via control+arrows keys) is randomly reset. When it happens i have to go in and reactivate the functionality.

~ Galaxy GTX 260 896mb ~ OCZ 6GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM ~ 500GB Hitachi SATA ~ Sony Optiarc DVD-RW ~

It's just speculation.
