The community is already split up, there is a bunch of newbies who want to install OS X on their PCs thinking is as easy as installing Windows and on the other side a group of knowledgeable old-timers that dislike the popularization of OS X among the crowds probably because it takes away the halo of voodoo wizards from them (A:"look bud I transformed my budget laptop into a 499 € macbook, I'm so elite!" | B:"oh its cool but my 12 year old nephew has one too, he said he can install OS X in my dishwasher or microwave if I want to").
(Most of) the newbies dont like reading long complicated guides and doing terminal commands, they dont like to learn how things work so they can fix it by themselves, they expect point and click solutions.
Old-timers got tired of giving free support to these people (that could be understandable) and they prefer to knock newbies down with rude remarks (thats not).
On the other side you can see real developers (the ones who actually made the tools weneed to run OS X like voodoo/chameleon team) having to give support to people (look at the voodoo forum and you'll see team members answering help questions). Instead of helping them do that so they can work on developing instead of doing tech support they prefer to lock themselves on golden towers where no newbie would bother them...
And the fact that the hub of the community (insanelymac) is going down the drain slowly doesnt help either...
Its kinda sad if you ask me but I doubt the community could be together again...
