I usually download the updates from Apple's site. Then when you install it normally, it will ask you to restart after installation and then you can replace whatever you want before pressing the Restart button.

[cite] minibuu:[/cite]I am having trouble with the update/replace process. When I run the updater it wont install the updates right away. What it does is downloads then tell me to restart, and then installs the updates while it restarts preventing me from replacing anything. How are you guys doing it so that you can update and replace?

try repairing permissions on it if you can (from spare installation or install DVD). sometimes, for whatever reason, the terminal manual permissions commands don't get deep inside the file enough, and leave certain contents untouched. really frustrating, actually. hope that helps :\

Why Do i have this feeling that this is Bogus... Isn't the system version supposed to read something like 9C7010 instead of 9C31 if the kernel and system is indeed 9.2.2 ???
