Nvidia GTX 260 1792mb ram
Hi guys, i'm running a almost perfect 99 percent perfect install of 10.6 on a asus p5kpl-am. The 1 percent thats not working is the second output on my GPU. I can find lots of gfx strings for standard cards but none for my gtx 260 with 1792mb of ram. Anybody know how I can make my own gfx string for this card ?
Here is the bios of the card (change .zip to .bin) Really need dual display output, the card has 3 outputs, 1 x dvi shared with a 1 x vga and a 1 x hdmi. |

Corex2,
I apologize if this information is out of date but seeing no one has replied yet I thought I would at least try to help. The problem with using other GFX strings is that you might have one that actually isn't your card due to someone posting the wrong card name or other screw ups. I know that in the past trying to extract your own GFX string in 10.6 using tools would give you false information. Therefore many would install 10.5 to grab the correct one. You may also want to look into graphics enabler. I found this post and looks like one reply shows both dvi and vga work with dvi adaptor on a Nvidia 260. http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic....t=2364&start=0 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean.
