Over the weekend, I managed to configure OS X and Windows XP partitions to use the same folders.

I see some serious gains from this.
Data is accessable from both OS's allowing updates faster/easier.
HD storage gains would be artifically seen due to removal of reduant files.
Music can be shared.
Photos are more accessable.

I'm writing a how-to, and I can put it online upon request. Its my understanding that you must have Leopard or higher, as Tiger can't do it.

Leopard: Acer Intel Atom Dual [email protected] w/1 Gig Ram

Compaq SR5710F [email protected] w/3 Gigs Ram
80 Gig ATA HD (NTFS - Vista)
200 Gig ATA HD (NTFS-Data)
Access to Server

Server: Compaq 1.8 Single Core Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition
~2 TB online....
