Well, I am not familiar with all Toshiba L series Laptops, but all I selected was the USB fix and there are some network kexts but I tried those and they did not work, It can run any kernel on that DVD so take your pick, I suggest the latest Voodoo kernel, or the Vanilla kernel( to choose the vanilla kernel just don't select anything), I suggest installing the network interface and video kexts after the install, The Toshiba series does well with Snow Leopard as-well, so if you want I would suggest doing a retail install of Snow Leopard using the last edition of Empire EFI, thats only if you have an intel CPU.

Hi there,
I just wanted to update that I have successfully installed Mac OSX on my Toshiba with the help of countless threads on this forum (and some others) and wanted to offer my gratitude to the users of this forum.
I was able to install iAtkos v.7 on my Satellite A205-S7464 with fairly minimal headaches and plan to post a tutorial on the web as time permits.
Nearly everything worked on my initial install, however I have a few issues to address, if anybody is able to assist.
1.) Wireless networking not working [Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection]. From my investigating thus far, this might not be possible and I'm okay with that.
2.) Wired networking not working [Marvell Yukon 88E8039 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller]. I have yet to find a working driver for this adapter.
I do however have bluetooth working on the Mac and on my Desktop PC and was planning on trying to set up a bluetooth PAN for internet connection sharing if anybody can guide me in the right direction.
3.) Power Management. I installed a power management pkg that I found on the web and now when I boot into Mac OS it boots into a grey screen with a power icon in the middle and the text "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button for several seconds or press the Restart button." in four languages. I'm not sure how to contend with this.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again to all who frequent this forum.

I've tried iATKOS v7 a few times and it locks up at the installing step with a few different settings that I've tried.
Also, you could see my related post in "Laptops/Netbooks" (I think that cross-posting is discouraged).

Thanks,

Well the last subject you brought up is a kernel panic, which is not good, take a look at your console log and see what happened.

Trouble with SnowOSX_Universal_10.6(432)GM_v3.5 on Toshiba A505 S6960

Hello. I was wondering if you have a process to help me out. I recently put SnowOSX_Universal_10.6(432)GM_v3.5 on my Toshiba A505-S6960 Computer. It installed fine. But my USB, Webcam, Sound, Ethernet, etc. did not work. So I tried to add some .kexts but I just furthered the problem and now the computer is stuck in a boot loop. It says "Your computer needs to restart" every time I try to boot into Snow Leopard. So if you could help me through the process that would be great. My computer specs. are as follows:

Just to let everyone know. I am bringing the Toshiba L305 project back. I had abandoned it at one time. So any news on the Toshiba L305 series would be most appreciated, Also as a side note I may be forming a Toshiba Laptop group, so if you know your way around a Toshiba laptop, Drop me an email at : [email protected]
