Cause it will just be out tomorrow (avaible at 16.02 - according to amazon), I would guess.

When I first saw it a few days ago I was a little sceptical regarding this - but now as I saw the Index I think this could gonna be a great reference with all important stuff beeing put together...
I have some 30€ gift certificate for a local book store, which I received for my last birthday - I will see if they can get me a copy.

Yes, I bought it and I must say, I am a little bit dissapointed from its content.
Most of the solutions are obsolete for at least 2 years now (Azalia as HDEF Audio driver & nvkush as GFX inject; ugh!) - it lacks quite a lot of methods and things beeing possible when creating a hackinoths (just provides methods for Vanilla capable hardware), it lacks very much background information or just provides woolly explanations - it doesn't provide any information on advanced methods that are commonly used, it doesn't even provide more than just some minimal sentences about possible solutions for common problems, and complete misses to explain details that might help the reader to get further; for example explanations about how-to read kernel panics or stuff like that..

Anyway: People who might like this book:

• You are new to Mac OS X in general and need instructions on how-to use the OS itself - as you're a former Windows user (or like to be).
• You want to create a Hackintosh and are determined to buy new hardware for it - If you want to install OSx86 to your existing - propably not 100% vanilla compatible hardware, this book ain't the right choice for you.
• You are too lacy to search the web for installation instructions.
• You want to start with learning to use the Developer Tools
• You are 99% n00b and have no idea on how a PC's hardware works nor how you could get information about the components your are using.
• You want your system to work with just basic functions and do'nt care any further about if it wouldn't be possible to make it more perfect.

People who sould better spend their money for something else:

• You want to understand how the things we are using work.
• You are an adavanced user of personal computers - maybe even have some basic knowledge about using unixoid OSes
• You want to create a stable & as much functional as possible setup using just the latest and greatest stuff avaible for your case of hardware.
• You are able to use Google and you are able to provide informations about your hardware and possible problem.
• You like to try around.
• You are part of this nice community - you don't need a shitty book that'll just frustrate you - as you can count on the people here to try to help you.

So far just my personal opinion....
