Well, the OSx86 scene has caused me to spend a lot of money to buy me the real thing. So now I have:
- Apple Macbook Pro 15.3", Core2Duo 2.93GHz, nVidia 9400M + nVidia 9600M GT/512MB, 4GB DDR3/1066, 320GB/7200rpm - Apple 24" LED Cinema Screen - Apple Wireless Keyboard - Logitech V450 nano Attached to the screen, I have a 1TB WD USB harddisk that is split 50/50 for Time Machine and storage of pics and stuff and archives I don't need/want to fill up my internal disk. I also have a 1TB NAS I can access wherever I am in the house. I absolutely love this thing. It works so well, much better than the hack I have. And the screen is absolutely awesome. And I have to say, nothing works as intuitive as the multi-touch gestures on that big trackpad. Apple probably (or should) has a love/hate relation with the OSx86 scene as MS has with illegal software. Without the hackint0sh I would never have spend close to $4,000 on a new computer. But it was worth it. And no, I do not have a Dell. I just grabbed a mousepad from work years ago. Apple Macbook Pro 15" 2.93GHz | Apple 24" LED Cinema Screen iAtkos v5i 10.5.6 Vanilla Machine: Acer 7730G Memory: 4GB DDR2/667 Storage: 2x 250GB Display: nVidia GeForce 9300M GS Last edited by throttlemeister; 05-09-2009 at 12:16 AM. |
