Περί των νέων Επιλογών

Απόκρυψη ενός Partition

Με την χρήση αυτής της επιλογής μπορείτε να απαριθμήσετε όλα τα partitions σας και να διαλέξετε ποιο "δεν" θα εμφανίζεται στο boot menu, ο τύπος (syntax) είναι ίδιος με την επιλογή Default Partition αλλά εδώ μπορείτε να ορίσετε αρκετά Volumes στο com.apple.Boot.plist σας.

Στο από πάνω παράδειγμα ο booter δεν θα εμφανίσει το partition 1 στο BIOS δίσκο 0 και partition 5 στον δίσκο 2.

PciRoot
Αυτή η επιλογή είναι ίδια με αυτή που θα βρείτε στο PC_EFI, αλλά το κάνουμε λίγο διαφορετικά: Η προκαθορισμένη (default) τιμή είναι ακόμα 0 αλλά μπορείτε να του δώσετε οποιονδήποτε αριθμό όπως:

Περί των patches και fixes που έχουν εφαρμοστεί στο RC4-r684

Σας παραθέτω ένα γρήγορο περιληπτικό Changelog:

Διορθώθικε το booting στο default partition όταν χρησιμοποιείται το timeout.
Προστέθηκε ανίχνευση για Intel Core i5.
Εφαρμόστικε του rivig’s το patch για όλα τα stage 1 loaders.
Τώρα το linear address mapping χρησιμοποιεί 12 bit offsets.
Προστέθηκε του DigitalDJ το patch για την ανύχνευση SMBIOS CPU.
Εφαρμόστικε το patch του IntVar για το system-id.
Εφαρμόστικε το saving patch του hnak για read_lba register.
Προστέθηκε του radekg το fix για το HFS filesystem ώστε να μπορεί να δουλεύει αρχεία 2GB+.
Backported το injection για συσκευές ATI στα EFI64 tables και το hibernation fix από το PC_EFI του netkas.

Ο Chameleon είναι πρόγραμμα που αναπτύσεται για να bootάρει υπολογιστές PC το σύστημα Darwin/Mac OS X, δεν λειτουργεί σε Macs.
Παρακαλώ να μην το εγκαθαστείτε τον Chameleon στο δίσκο του συστήματός σας, έχουν ληφθεί πάρα πολλές αναφορές από Macs που πλέον είναι unbootable Macs μετά την εγκατάστασή του.

About the patches and fixes applied in RC4-r684

Here is a quick Changelog highlight:

Fixed booting the default partition when using timeout. Added Intel Core i5 detection.
Applied rivig’s patch against all stage 1 loaders. Now linear address mapping uses 12 bit offsets. Added DigitalDJ’s SMBIOS CPU detection patch. Applied IntVar’s system-id patch. Applied hnak’s read_lba register saving patch. Added radekg’s HFS filesystem fix to handle 2GB+ file sizes. Backported ATI device injection EFI64 tables and hibernation fix from netkas’ PC_EFI. Note for Mac users:

Chameleon is developed to boot Darwin/Mac OS X on PCs, it doesn’t work on Macs.
Please don’t install Chameleon to your system drive, we got many failure reports with unbootable Macs after installing Chameleon.
