Was a long and difficult way to upgrade at 10.5.3... now with the great Zephyrot's work, most of us had success.
Any comment about differences and feelings about upgrade?

I made a benchmark with xbench and returned me a 132 points... something less than 10.5.2, but i think it's graphic driver's fault.
Also this morning i had some system's hanging... opening a window asked a long time, and then the window on the desktop was empty and transparent.

Give feedback...

I haven't had any glitches on my system so far, and everything is running smoothly. I updated to 10.5.3 two days ago and run OS X exclusively on my AMD machine. I did use the Nvidia kexts from 10.5.2 and the sound kexts I had for my ALC888. So far so good here.

I had problems updating my 10.5.2.Zephyroth install. My system wouldn't boot after 10.5.3 update. I preformed a fresh install with LeoforAllV3 ran AU .5 and it worked fine. I have lost QE but i installed the latest nvinject added my device id to geforce.kext and everything was working again. I also installed the latest AMD 9.3.0 without any problem. I don't actually notice any major improvement, but I'm happy my system is fully updated. I may start to use my Hackintosh for fun now. Hopefully we'll be fine with these updates for a while.

After upgrade, I use Marvin's Util to check the whole disk, and find an upgraded file with cpuids:
/usr/libexec/oah/translate
and I cannot fix it, what about yours?
I also can not use 9.3.0 modbin kernel, just like 9.2.2 modbin kernel, instant kernel panic, any solutions for this?

Glitches: About this mac crash. ALC655 with 44100hz not working fine. SB400 only have 48000hz option. (44100Hz is necessary for RDC to Windows)

So... today i restored 10.5.2 image and restart the 10.5.3 upgrade from scratch...

Used AmdSoftwareUpdate by Zeph, obviously and worked great man!!!, ticked "modify only" option.
Log wrote:

Code:
47 of 47 visited files were successfully patched.
121 of 121 found patches were successfully applied.
Then i installed it... and without restart i installed the modbin's 9.3 kernel and the NVinstaller v.51.pkg for my 7600gs 256mb graphic card then restart.
System restart once and then restart again. Now system suffer of a kernel panic cpu... restart again and finally login.. all seemed ok but... usb wireless keyboard and mouse was unusable. Picked up usb wired mouse and restart.. now usb wireless worked, my ad1988b audio controller (this is normal i think) was not working, so i installed the taruga's rev.3 patch, when patch finished after a while system completely freezed. Hardware reset and now seems to be ok, even sound but, i have a sensation of instability... don't know, it's like a feeling inside myself.
Maybe it's kernel.
Is it possible keep 9.2 kernel on 10.5.3?
I'm sure i'll not erase my 10.5.2 disk image for some time...

First time I had to reinstall the system due to some error after this update, so I tried Leo4Allv3 and it worked great!. Then I tried again to update but zephyroth's SU failed... so I tried again and YES!!!! made the package and installed later, rebooted with -X cause my video wasn't working (although I use gfx string) and installed the 10.5.2 kexts from Leo4All DVD.
Now I have my updated system 10.5.3 with 9.3 modbin kernel.

Thanks to all thoes who helped building this great tools.!!!!

@gipo: My XBench Score increased by 2-3 points. Other than that, the system is still rock solid, just like 10.5.2 before the upgrade. I love it. :-)

I did not have to manually install an injecter, because I already used an EFI string.

My graphic card is detected as "NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT" and works fine.

Yeah, I'm having a problem here, look at my other thread, and please share your ideas. I ran out of them, since virtually don't have any access to the O/S except for the contents located in that partition. Thanks.

I dunno. I'm having really mixed feelings. My system feels really slow and not responsive at all. Mostly the internet., but everything I do seems quite a bit slower than before.

I installed over a fresh Zeph 10.5.2 Rev2 install. Booted into the install, Downloaded ASU and updated.

XBench results are about 10 or so lower, but I was in the middle of torrenting so that prolly threw it off a bit.

I dunno, I'm gonna give it some time, but I might be reinstalling 5.2 soon.
