Had this problem on my old install with the N4orce with the newer sata kexts.
Hmm.. ima test this on my new config. Similar issue with Toast 9 and Toast 10: I can erase rewritable disc but burning failed after start. SimplyBurns however works. Kernel or AppleAtiATA.kext problem?

ok i have same issue. funny thing is i can use the lightscribe function with no problems.....cant burn dvdr or cdr tho..
