HP Mini 1030NR?
Ok well recently my dad saw a MacBook.. He LOVED it... But, what he didn't like was the $999 price tag... So then I told him about hackint0shes and the HP Mini, which had similar specs.. Now I found this guide, http://blog.tinyenormous.com/2009/08...-hp-mini-1000/ , but could somebody sum it up and tell me what's going to work and what's not? Or even if you have a different guide. All help would be amazing!

The 1030NR looks like beeing a good choice for a netbook.
According to this source it has Broadcom & Marvell NICs so you can make the Wifi work as Airport just with adding 4315 subset to AppleAirPortBrcm4311.kext ![]() Offcourse an N270 configuration can't mess with an C2D macbook. ![]() AMD Phenom II X4 955 - ASRock AM3A770DE - 8GB DDR3-1333 - Radeon HD 5570 1GB passiv - BCM4318 802.11b/g - Snow Leopard Retail

Most easy way, use this script it will do the editing for you:
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/ind...howtopic=51725 Just use "rm -rf /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches" if you are on Snow Leopard, as there is no more Extensions.mkext in /System/Library folder. 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean.
