Voodoo and 10.5.6?
If I have installed the voodoo kernel on my AMD computer then when 10.5.6 comes out will installing it mess up my computer or what?
is it to early to tell if this will happen? Also do you think the update will be worth the risk to update to 10.5.6? Mac OS X 10.5.5 • Voodoo 9.5.0 • 2.7 GHz AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ • 2 GB 1334 MHz DDR2 • NVIDIA GeForce 9500M-M MB • Maxtor 75 GB IDE |

that is something we will have to wait an see but in theory it shouldn't mess up your system.
but with the 10.5.6 update they are saying you will need to use a dsdt patch and a boot file to use the dsdt.aml file there are some already made. pcEFIv9 and there is a boot file for chameleon with dsdt support |

Soon pcwiz will release a gui for the dsdt patcher so everyone can apply it avoiding the "scary terminal"

It's nothing "scary", just a couple of commands to get it working, thoes were pcwiz words hehe. It was supposed to be launched today, I'll tell you later.
