hey nixola,

what did you use for network, and for audio? I have an almost working p35-ds3l, I had to remove the ioatafamily to make it work, and it still doesn't clean shutdown. It stops but the computer stays turned on till I press the power button.

I have a the same Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L mobo and am looking at getting snow leopard up and running on it. Is there a good guide posted somewhere for the install tips for the particular mobo?

I have the same board with Snow Leopard 1.6.2 fully working (100% stable) retail installation.
I use chameleon, on Extra/Extensions/ i have:
  • AHCIPortInjector.kext
  • FakeSMC 2.5
  • HDA Enabler (for full in/out ALC 888 onboard audio) (+ patched AppleHDA in S/L/E)
  • IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext
  • NullCPUPowerManagment.kext
  • OpenHaltRestart.kext
  • PlatformUUID.kext

This board is just fine for OSX. There are better boards of course, some newer with p45, but this one really works like a charm. I have EP35-DS3 model and with high optimization in DSDT tables running 10.6.2 with only fakesmc, audio via usb dongle but if i used onboard audio then there will be only one fake plist more (for alc889a).
If users with L model could dump their DSDT so i could compare with mine and share it with you guys. You can dump dsdt with getDSDT script in OSX or using linux. Here is short howto to do it in linux.

See I am completely lost with this DSDT stuff. When I did a Hackintosh a few years back all I had to do was download a iso torrent from Kalyway or iAtkos or whoever and install it from there, MAYBE use some kexts to fix the sound, usb etc. I take it, that it isn't so easy anymore?
