I have a G31M and I used the attached installer to get my audio working. It uses a patched version of AppleAzaliaAudio.kext. It was originally for Leopard but it worked in SL for me. FYI you have to reinstall it when you upgrade the version (eg 10.6.4 to 10.6.5)
Oh, and the mic doen't work, but the audio output is great.
Specs: SL retail install, Updated to 10.6.4, Pentium (Wolfdale) E6300, GA-G31M-ES2L rev2.0 mobo, Rosewill RC-402 NIC, Gigabyte Nvidia 9500GT, 250GB SATA HDD, IDE DVD burner, 2GB RAM, Happy User
