I don't really use the sleep function, and so far nforcelan is working great, perhaps we could get it's developer to fix that issue.
EDIT: I've read about the SKGE kext but apparently it does not apply to my motherboard, only to the premium model with marvell chip. Hi eMatoS,
Thank you for the information, it makes me feel a little bit confident on creating my own dsdt file. Definitely I need to learn how to patch, fix compiling error etc. I think I can achieve that goal by reading other people's post. I just assembly a new machine - i5 750 with GA-P55-USB3, 8GB RAM. I want 10.6.4 64-bit vanilla kernel running it. thanks again, |

Hi dragonspeed,
Thank you for your post with attached dsdt. I will compare yours with mine (A8n32 -SLI Deluxe). using yours as some kind of baseline and template. |

i Cant get Snow10.6.2 working for the life of me and i would like to point out im a total newb at this. i just want the OS to work... i got a bootable dvd and i can boot fine, from it wipe hdd, and choose customize on the install. NOT all if the things you listed to select are thwere but i did select allot of what i could. but in the end i only get a black screen on reboot ( starts up darwin then black screen) i have gotten 10.5.5 working perfectly fine but i cant figure out how to atleast get it to 10.5.8. so yeahhhhh.....so i seen osx86 run on my comp just cant get anything with 10.6. options that aint there are : Kernel: Legacy_kernel_10.2.0 AppleACPIPS2Nub VoodooPS2Controller SATA_ATA_Fix: IOATAFamily_SATA_Fix I Have 2 flavors of camil rc4 also have an rc5 i have a AMD Fix at very bottom. (i didn't select it cuz it wasn't listed here) Here is what i selected. Legacy_kernel_10.6.2 AppleAC97Audio AppleNForceATA EvOreboot FakeSMC nForceLAN Yukon one i dont remeber the exact name but i know my mobo has a marvell/yukon as well as an nforcelan. but as i said i get nothing but a black screen after reboot.. thanks |
