Mac OS x Snow leopard Universal v3.6 (10.6.2) Install Problem

Hi,

I am trying to install Mac OS x Snow leopard Universal v3.6 (10.6.2). My hardware is DELL Inspiron 6400 with Intel 945GM Graphics. Everything works fine until the installation screen just appears. I can see a blue background screen and suddenly, the LCD display is turned off. Nothing seems to be working. I have tried all combination of boot flags.

Any idea on what is going wrong?

I think you have no graphic drivers installed. Also, try switching up to cables, try DVI, VGA, HDMI...

I don't mean to sound rude but these are the reasons why retail install is suggested over distro.

What is your PC configuration? there are plenty of detailed guides for RETAIL install, over the net, but we need to know what hardware do you have so we can point you to a guide...
