Machine-check kernel panic
Hello all.
I am attempting to install Mac OS X on an HP Vectra VL420 (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/su...9/lpv06569.pdf). This computer has an Intel Pentium 4 CPU (MMX, SSE, SSE2) and all of the hardware is in working condition. I created a boot CD containing Chameleon 2.0 RC5 r650 (from SVN), andyvand's 10.6.5 legacy kernel V2, and my DSDT, SMBios, and kexts. I am trying to boot into the original Mac OS X Snow Leopard DL DVD. When Chameleon finishes doing its thing and starts the kernel, the following kernel panic appears: Any ideas? Thanks, fumoboy007 |

I'm not sure of your P4's Frequency, but if it is over 3GHz try going into the BIOS and setting CPU Frequency Multiplier to x15 or less, could fix the problem.
