#PLEASE HELP# pre install problem

Hi there am trying to install SL via Empire EFI off the retail cd. (do not have 8gb usb or mac access) am running into kernel panic just before welcome screen
KP relates to ATIRadeonx2000
my hardware is ASUS M51va laptop
ATI HD 3650
core 2 duo t9400
chipset north pm 45
south ICH9-M
4gb ram
i think i have too edit info.plist for atiradeonx2000.kext
but how can i edit when the file is on the retail cd and i have no iso or no means to edit iso.
IM so close i can smell it have been trying for about 4 days just to see the install screen also tried retail.iso from teknojunkie with no success.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATYLY APPRECIATED

I think your smelling your DVD drive burning from installs. Haha.

But seriously, You could try installing an older version first, like leopard, and from their use a retail DMG.

do you suggest installing from retail leo cd then upgrading to sl?

Yes, That way, you can easily fix any kexts. Leopard has more drivers right now that might work.
