Sleep not working in Snow Leopard on Dell Inspiron 530
Hi,
I successfully installed my retail Snow Leopard DVD onto my Dell Inspiron 530 and everything works like a charm except for sleep. Sleep doesn't work at all on automatic sleep and when I select "sleep" on the shut down window my displays go into stand-by but the fans in my Dell go full blast. When I try to wake my Dell nothing happens - I cannot switch it on and I have to reboot I have tried the sleepenabler.kext but I still get the same problems How could I fix this? Please advise. My specs are... Dell Inspiron 530 Core2Quad Nvidia Geforce 8600GTS graphics Snow Leopard 10.6.2 (updated via Apple Software Update) Chameleon 2 RC3 Art |

Hi, I have exactly the same problems with my laptop, i'm going to try osxrestart.kext now and will let you know if this solves the problem.

Hmm it doesn't solve the problem. I have both sleepenabler.kext installed and osxrestart.kext but when the laptop goes to sleep the screen turns dark en the fans keep on spinning. After that the laptop can not wakeup. Any help is appreciated!
