I am booting snow with Standard Chameleon RC2. No kernel panics at all. What's the point for using the netkas PCEFI 10.1 or 10.2?

Thanks DocShadow looks like r640 is the culprit. I been trying to figure out this Kernel Panic for a couple of days. Changed my boot back to r431 and no KP.

some people gets kp on r640 some don't
i have figured out that some kexts on the extra folder gave me kp such as ataportinjector, other than that it works just fine with dsdt on extra folder |

any chameleon2 based loaders has panic isue when mkext and kext permission is incorrect.
but with right system cache chameleon 2 work's with 10.6 okey,so if you install via OSInstall.mpkg do repair permission and rebuild cache. only PCEFIv9 can boot SL with wrong mkext or with -f. sadly old chameleon 1.011 sources are unavailable.( Last edited by markswell; 08-22-2009 at 04:52 PM. |
