thank you very much andy

I just installed your Applesmbios.kext and hardware is recognized properly
( except the CPU type of course, cause it's a quad !) without patching the smbios.plist
I could notice that boot is much faster of almost 10 seconds !!! Do you believe it is possible or it's just a coincidence ?

Thank you man

If you have chameleon with smbios patching, unless you explicitly disabled it in the boot.plist, smbios is still being patched by chameleon even if you delete the smbios.plist.

Thank for interest but I use boot think

Thorazine74: gracias por la info... but how can I disable smbios patching in boot.plist?

Andy: your SMBIOS works very well in my system, without smbios.plist in /Extra.
Is it a good idea to change the UUID-key in Info.plist by the right UUID of the SL volume? If yes, must I change also the UUID-data-key value? Thanks.

Without a SMBIOS.plist Chameleon stills do smbios patching with default values from MacPro2,1.
You can try putting this in boot.plist so chameleon doesnt do any smbios patching at all:
Code:

    <key>SMBIOSdefaults</key>
    <string>n</string>
