I have creative soundblaster 5.1 x-fi and I can select it in the sound settings as the output but I cannot control the volume. It's always set at max volume. How can I control the volume?

Also, not sure if you are able to use mouse and keyboard after upgrade but if not, go ahead and boot with your boot disk, make changes, and reboot without disk.
