Nvidia Geforce 8400 gs ? 256 ram ?

Delete all your Geforce and nvdan and nvinject kexts from the extensions folder and then install the kexts in this zip file using kext helper you will have full support for the card .

Geforce 8400 GS Full Support (http://www.mediafire.com/?zyxmgh63jx1)

hmm if that didn't work then you mite want to try to use this
NV installer 3.0 by punk92 (http://rs321.rapidshare.com/files/112844231/iHackintosh_Nvidia_Installer_3.0_Beta_Version_by_P unk92.zip)

install Nvinject 0.2.1 and select 256 mb let me know if this works if not I have one last thing you could try.

Or use Zephyroth's universal nvidia installer from the wiki. =)

finally...got it work...haha
use zeph universal installer,edit kext,and if QE/CI still not working...install natit.kext
it will activate d QE/CI and give d card's model name automatically.

try it! it's fun! lol

NVkush works great with this card, and it's the updated natit..
I'd remove the natit kext and install nvkush, but of course.. if it's working it doesn't really matter ;)

hi

i removed the EFI strings from com.apple.boot.plist & now i've QE/CI with NVinject http://www.infinitemac.com/images/smilies/smile.png woo hooo. took me three miserable weeks including a fatal crash which i somehow recovered(always backup your extensions via OSx86 tools!!!) to figure this one out...

i have attached a few NVinject kexts with this - i don't remember which one worked for me - i don't even know why i installed EFI strings in the 1st place...all the very best for you QE/CI...yes, you can do it...http://www.infinitemac.com/images/smilies/smile.png

here's how to remove the EFI strings:

sudo -s
[enter password when prompted]
nano /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

This will take you to a text editor showing you the contents of your com.apple.Boot.plist. Look for these two lines:

<key>device-properties</key>
<string>YOUR LONG EFI STRING HERE</string>

Using your arrow keys, navigate the block cursor down to each of those two lines and hit CONTROL+K on both. This will cut the corresponding line out of the script (quicker than hitting the delete button, trust me).

When you're done, hit CONTROL+X and then Y, and ENTER to save the file. Now simply restart OSX, and you should boot up again without EFI strings.

I used this kext for Asus EN8400GS silent but you also use it for other nvdia cards e.g. GT6600. Installed with Kexthelper b7.
