Hey, I know there is a way to make it play the video once you've setup your account since the "open pcs" ship with an already some what modified install they just make it run the initial boot video again.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to do that ?

Hi Shiftedx,

1. Navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices and control-click on Setup Assistant -> Show Package Contents.
2. Navigate to Contents -> Resources. Control-click on TransitionSection.bundle and click Show Package Contents.
3. Navigate to Contents -> Resources.
4. Intro.mov and intro-sound.mp3 can be found inside of the folder, they are seperated, though. :-)

You can also watch it in HQ & with merged sound and video at ArsTechnica (http://media.arstechnica.com/video/leopard-intro.mov).

It's very easy to merge video and sound with FFmpeg. But the installation of all the files is a bit bad...

I was thinking may be we should modify that video for non-mac users, and welcome to the osx86 community instead. =p
Would that be a great idea?

No, definetively not. An OSx86 installation should look like a real OS X installation, no fixes.

Ah well, at least the idea was viewed. =p
