Hello again, community.

I have a ittle problem. I have Samsung SyncMasted753DFX\nVIDIA 7600GT in my hackintosh.
I want to use "best" resolution for my monitor (1152x864x75@32)[it's only one resolution, whivh my monitor correctly displays], but editing com.apple.boot.plist don't have effect.
In monitor setting i see this resolutions:
1024x768[refresh rate 60-100Hz] (it's suck)
1280x960[refresh rate only 60Hz] (see 1024x768)
1280x1024[refresh rate only 43Hz Interlaced] (it's not suck. it's blow)

How i can add this (1152x864x75@32) resolution?
I use Zephyroth 10.5.2 rev2

PS^ This resolution fully supported in win\nix.

thanks for advice.

I presume you have no CoreImage/ Quartz Exteme for your gfx card. Take a loot in About this Mac -> More information -> Graphics. If it was supported, you should have all monitor resolutions.

Hm, i searched the web and I have to tell you that the maxium resolution of your monitor is 1280x1024 @ 65 Hz... seems to be rather old :-( Look here (http://www.samsung.com/dk/products/oldmodelsit_produkter/oldmonitors/crt17/753dfx.asp) for more information.

I don't know how much you can spend, if you want to buy a new monitor I can recommend the Samsung Syncmaster 204b (http://review.zdnet.com/lcd-monitors/samsung-syncmaster-204b/4507-3174_16-31676719.html?tag=ut). Resolution is 1600x1200, it has DVI + VGA and is rotateable. I always would recommend 4:3 monitors instead on 16:9. Because there are so many video formats (4:3, 5:4, 16:9, 16:10 and others) the widescreen format has no real use for computer working. The only thing what happens is that you are loosing screen height.

Or gaining screen width, depending on how you look at it. I vastly prefer having 2 widescreens, for no real reason other than preference.

Look up SwitchResX, it allows you to customize which options are available. I'm presently trying to reconfigure what OSX considers is "default" for my Hanns-G 19"w (JW199D), certain colors, particularly this website's background color cause flickering. I've narrowed it down to the timing it's being instructed to perform at (or the Vertical/Horizontal Sync, blah blah... all over my head) and this utility allows you to get down an dirty and force your mac to allow you to choose even the most specific details. GL!

Unless the wide screen is a second monitor and you have flipped it vertically to view long pages. like this guy: http://www.displaylink.com/images/subpage_monitors.jpg

Or maybe your like this guy:

Two monitors are enough for me. This would make me lazy as hell and god forbid I am forced to use a single monitor. Ill pretty much want to kill myself.
