Anyone know how to install xtools?? I need the make command for perl

Hi guys,
Ive been trying to install a xml tv guide grabber to use with eyetv.
The grabber is in perl which seems to be installed, but there is no sign of the make command.
Ive gathered that this is included if you install the developers tools of the leopard disk, but as we used a cut down leopard install I don't think it was in the options.

Anyone got any idea how I can install these xtool to get the make command?

I would understand if its been tested and does not work with the amd setup.

Any chance we could add these tools in the next distro, as it seems quite necessary to have the make command for many unix type installs.

Sorry if i don't see the whole picture, Ive worked with linux and unix before but it was always an install option to use dev tools.

You can download Xcode at the Apple site here: http://developer.apple.com/tools/download/

You'll have to sign up first before you can download though :(

I think it was removed from the iso to help it fit on a single layer dvd, it is 1.1gb after all.

Thanks, I found that too but hav'nt tried yet, I found a different grabber that didn't need perl.
By not including it it takes away from leopards unix base a little.
