Your audio fix can be found here:
http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=83633&hl=ALC268

have you tried the Broadcom 43xx fix that should be available on that release? Try this installer:
(link removed)

For the ATI Radeon HD 3200... try using an EFI string.

Use either EFIStudio from:
(link removed)

or use ~pcwiz's OSx86 Tools Suite from:
http://pcwizcomputer.com/osx86tools/

If you plan to use an EFI string instead of a kernel extension (kext) file then beware that it is a little more in depth... don't worry, many guides have been made for it and there are those of use around who will walk you through it. I would leave this for last.

Questions...? let 'em fly.

EDIT: hopefully you got the files I placed on here in the past... we have removed the direct links to software because of the new rules but I left the links to sites. PM me if you need any help getting these again.

hey thanks for the reply....
insanely mac never responded so i thouhght i might check here
so what i can see that what im about to do is to load the hardware string into the efi
before even mac even boots???
is that correct???
ok will try...
thanks

EFI strings are loaded upon successful loading of the com.apple.Boot.plist file located in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ folder. This file is loaded upon boot-up of your partition. The strings are placed in this file in HEX format so that the system can better see the hardware on a "closer to binary" level without it getting as messy as machine code. The EFI string points to the hardware and tells the system what it is so no external kernel extensions are needed. However, I have noticed the CI/QE capabilities sometimes are hit-and-miss with EFI. Properly done, it would allow your system to run more natively. If not, then you'll have to resort to the kernel extensions for your model (as of now, I'd have to look them up... not on the top of my head right now).

no problem. let me know how you are attempting to get them to work and maybe we can lend some assistance from here. at least you are able to boot, right? :)

darkassain
10-31-2008, 08:39 PM
yes i am able to boot fine....
forgot i updated the bios so of course it didnt boot the first time...
once i downgraded (f.08 to f.05)
i gave me no problems booting up the mac dvd
so yeah
its funny that i kinda noticed that if boot from the mac dvd with the -x extension i cant boot up
but just booting from the dvd with no extentions works fine...
one time it said installation failed
(maybe because i didnt repair permisions :-/)
one question
"mDNSResponder[48]" shows up quite a few time
does it have to do with DNS servers/Internet??

nfoav8or
11-01-2008, 12:18 AM
yes and no. mDNSResponder implements Bonjour in OS X so its a little hazy with what is causing this error. I'll do a little more research and get back to you.

Some people have reported that this error and well as the "sandbox" (I think this is it) error are fixed with the new security update from Apple.

Like I said, I'll keep reading and get back to you.

from what i read it seems that it looks like its the underlying connections and settings for a network and tries to set up instant network access for any devices that are bonjour compatible before it even gets to the GUI
right???
i let one of my friends borrow my laptop and he thought that the partion with mac os x was unformatted space so he formatted it!!!! (last i ever let someone admin acess :( :-/ )
even worse in my troubles is that my leo4all dvd just went out saying that it failed the integrity check :'( (i deleted the iso because i wanted to keep my laptop have as much free space as possible
so i am again in the process of "acquiring" it.....
well a least have the weekend now :D....lol

I'm pretty sure you're right by saying that it is creating the underlying connections to an unconnected network. this can create issues that are visible in verbose mode if there is no connection but it isn't something that should cause the boot-up of OS X to hang... it should just skip over it.

As for the helpful friend... ugh. sorry to hear. lets hope there isn't a next time.

Try to keep a backup of the kind of files I like to refer to as the "big-deal" files where later on, it would be a big deal not to have them. As for the DVDs going bad... I try to make two Install DVDs at a time and then only use one... that way I always have a backup (and I can make a copy of that one if one goes bad so I still have two).

Happy "acquiring" :)

How do you patch leo4all 4.1

I am unable to find F.06 Bios Firmware for TX2500z.

Can you assist me in patching Leo4all 4.1, I will post a screen later tonight about the error I am receiving.

How do you boot perfectly? I'm using HP Tx2500z too and I've tried every distro but could'nt get pass the boot process. It always stuck at "Still waiting for root device" I also tried -x-v-f-s cpus=1 etc. but not success. :'(

could you please let me know how did you do that? I have Kalyway 10.5.2, Leo4all v.3, iDeneb. Please help.

Thanks in advance.
