Hi there.

I have recently downloaded and successfully installed Leo4Allv5_Server on my Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L.

Sound wasnt working, reboot, shutdown and ethernet wasnt working. I got all those fixed.

I then tried to update to 10.5.5 with the update from Apple. Thought it might work, as I have an Intel system. But no luck. My system died with the white screen/Grey Apple and spinning circle.

I then reinstalled and tried again. Same results.

I then tried to update via ASU. I ticked the Intel Installation box. It downloads the server update. As soon as it's finished downloading, I get an Apple Script Error pop up box with the following error: ls: *.pkg: No such file or directory (1).

While the file was downloading I could see the .pkg file in the directory created. The moment that error pops up, the file is gone.

Does anybody know what I can do to fix this? Or maybe if there is another way to get my installation updated to 10.5.5

Thanks alot.

I'm actually doing the same thing right now myself. The bad news is that ASU doesn't find anything to patch in either update (combo or regular... and I've done both) and when I try to install it always hangs at the finish line with the "install scripts" so the only way I've found that I can update my system is to boot into another installed system (I use a simple 10.5.4 LawlessPPC install without upgrades form an external HD) and then select the proper install destination from within the installer. I'm still messing around with getting it to work just right, but so far I'm having very very slow progress.

The server updates actually contain two pkgs - one for the underlying client system and another for the server layer. This could be the reason why ASU fails.

If you extract each pkg with pacifist and then use the ASU 'bug' (http://www.infinitemac.com/f36/zephyroths-software-news-update-2008-aug-18-t1385/post16597.html) to patch them, it should work in theory. After patching just make sure you install both of them without restarting in the order Client > Server.

Hope this helps, good luck! :)

I tried the above w/ no success. ASU still scans and finds no file to patch even using the "bug" method. Has anyone out there w/ an AMD setup been able to update leo4allv5 server through ASU? I know it can be done the "dirty" way w/ pacifist extraction, manually remove the necessary files(kernel etc.) patch w/ marvin, repackage and install, but then the ASU and "about this mac" don't recognize the system as 10.5.5. I know there's got to be a cleaner method.

I've updated. but not in the traditional sense... Like I posted earlier, I boot into a USB drive and install the update by choosing the internal (Server installed) drive for the destination. It works fine then.
