Hello,

I used loe4all v4.1.
USB is only working if the usb key is pluged at the boot.
If it is pluged after, no access to the key.

Any idea with this problem ?

Thanks

Sorry for my bad english ...

This can happen if your system.kext and kernel version don't match.

How can I find out wich system.kext does match with my kernel version?

via the System Profiler is the easiest.

Okay, kext and kernel are 9.2.2. Which USB2 kext have I to install? :-/

I have tried this one:

But it doesn't work :-(
Have I to disable something in the BIOS, maybe?

I would just upgrade kernel/system.kext.

Well,

my kernel : 9.2.0

And i don't have System, only System06 - 7.9.9. ...

Do you know where can i get system.kext 9.2.0 ?

Thanks

Here are kernel and kext v9.5.0 (beta2) which I'm using, and it works perfect.

Install both using 'OSx86 Tools' (it's freeware).

Cool, I'll give it a try :-)
Then all USB2 problems are gone? And does this kernel works with Leo4All?

Thanks in advance

I'm using it on my AMD machine with Leo4All installed. No problems here :-)

Hmm, does this kernel work with "MBR partition"?

Give it a go :)

Have I to install both at once?
After I installed the kernel it says "reboot". After that Hackintosh doesn't boot ...

Install kernel > cancel reboot > install kext > reboot now.

You may need to boot with -f switch after this.

Okay, thanks! And 9.5 is the Voodoo kernel, right? :-/

Yes, it's Voodoo kernel.

Good luck.

Voodoo kernel doesn't work with MBR partition :-(

Is it possible to make dual boot with GUID partition? :-/

I had the same issues with USB devices not being recognized unless they were plugged in at boot. As mentioned in the posts above, a mismatch in version numbers seems to be the most common cause. I found the below post over on InsanelyMac Forums extremely helpful with instructions on how to diagnose whether a mismatch in version numbers is the problem and also how to correct the problem with files provided.

This was posted in March and there may be a more up to date fix. Most of the people experiencing the problem had installed Kalyway's 10.5.2. AMD which by default installs 9.2.0 Sleep Kernel & 9.2.2 system.kext.

Good luck

Now I'm on Voodoo (GUID) and always the same problem :(

System.kext & Kernel are matching versions?

FirstHackTosh

Yes, Kernel and System 9.5.0, Leo4Allv4.1. Have tried several kext. Always the same problem. USB High-Speed are shown. If I plug an USB stick in, it's not shown in the profiler nor Finder. And it comes to a beachball of death ...
