Hello to all.
After "naquaada" sent me a very friendly & informative message on InsanelyMac, I have decided to make a post about my upcoming release named "The Architects Distribution - Version A" here on InfiniteMac.

This OSx86 DVD release is almost ready, I'm just killing some time just in case the final Voodoo 9.5.0 Kernel version is out, as well as the 10.5.6 update from Apple. Also sometimes its good to wait a little longer, because i get some very useful advices from people like "naquaada", which in fact has written to me a very extensive message on how this release would become better. Thank you for that, and i hope more people will post their opinion about how this OSx86 DVD should be organized, what could be added, etc.

Don't hesitate to point to me a very important .kext i might have forgot, or just a .kext that is very important for you! You can also request patches, like "naquaada" requested an earlier version of QuickTime that runs better on his own OSx86 installation.

This OSx86 DVD has plenty of space left to fill the 4.38GB limit of data, 1.20GB remaining (i slimmed down the original Apple DVD big-time). Also i timed the bootup of this DVD, its 2:05 minutes on a 16x Speed DVD-ROM Drive (not bad huh?).

Here is the current Installation Patches available on the DVD:

Sounds like its got great potential. I agree on the wait. 10.5.6 sounds like it is coming out very soon. How were you able to "slim" it all down to allow for 1.2GB of remaining space (without giving up functionality or getting too far away from native)?

Well with a lot of "trial & error", booting-up the image on VMware Fusion for several times, i was able to isolate a lot of files that were never used during boot-up and/or installation.

Now boot-up time of this DVD in normal 16x Speed DVD-ROM Drive is 2:05 minutes. I think i cannot go lower than that, but you never know.

I see that you have included ALC262 support...is it really working ? I care the most about the headphones out jack. Could you share the kext for ALC262 with me mate ? I`ve been looking for them for ages...they`re nowhere to be found.
