Well this is interesting, I signed up to the forums just today and here in my email a few minutes ago I got an email saying how much InfiniteMac misses me since I haven't been on in something like forever... go figure, I guess time is relative?
Anyway I figured I had better reappear and make a post or something so here goes
I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 yesterday, it only took me 3 full installs to get everything working (I don't know how many boot attempts... -x? -v -x? -legacy? etc...). Since this was the first and only DVD I DL'd and my MB isn't on an HCL that I could find I was fairly proud of myself. Then I hit a brick wall. How do I update? Why does silverlight say I have PPC? I asked on another In***Mac forum and was told to buy new hardware, my AMD/Nforce4 combo was the culprit, I asked in IRC and was ignored, then I found this site and the wall fell. With minimal searching I found a simple single post on how to get Silverlight to install, and then with only slightly more digging I found out about Zeph's little utilities. So I DL'd the delta updates 1 at a time, patched them, installed them and found the voodoo kernel. So here I am now with OS X 10.5.5 running on an AMD watching my instant que on Netflix with Silverlight.
Long story short, if it weren't for bhast2, zeph and this site I would most likely be bald right now. So THANK YOU!!!
