Read-only system

while tryin' installing LawlessPPC-Leo-10.5.4-Phenom&AMD on my AMD system with
SB 600 had the following problem:

root filesystem is read only; skipping kernel link data generation.

Any suggestions are uppretiated.

The message itself is normal for the installation process. Stopping there, however, is not.
Try -x at bootup.

is this after you installed or during the install?
