do a lot of research as to what the specific specs of your system are and then poke around different websites like insanelymac.com and here(infinitemac) using google and using terms like "alc662 kext insanelymac" or the like for different websites you find helpful

and on the distrobution aspect of your issue. 10.5.6 is kind of new so maybe you should either 1.get a slightly older disc or 2.wait a while until the 10.5.6 discs are out

Oh and getting the discs i cant link you there but i can give you little hints like "little green demon" and "a floating boat in a harbor" and no thats not anything like the URL but it is a vague description of their respective logo to point you in the general right direction (hint hint google is your friend)

or you could wait until wednesday to get info on Pcwiz's iPC OSx86 public beta distro

Did you ever try booting with -v or -x or -f or any other boot flags and if so what was the
Result

Find out what your chipset for your system I'd and from there you should be able todo some researching as to of anyone has ever had success with that chipset and what distro they used to get it working

Another place you might want to check is the os x 86 project wiki hardware compatability list seeing as I am posting from my iPod touch I can't copy and paste the URL over for you but a quick google search will get you there. And I know the list is for 10.5.2 at best but many of the sets drivers are still valid

Dimension 5150

* Install method: Kalyway 10.5.2 Direct DVD install
* Kernels: intel speedstep + intel sleep ; Vanilla kernel panics occasionally
* Processor: Pentium 4HT 3.2 Ghz
* LAN Intel 100/VE working by copying the following : AppleIntel8255x.kext
* Onboard Video: intel GMA950 works with minimal screen tearing in Itunes and firefox(use Camino to solve screen tearing issue): select only this in the options as selecting X3100 causes the graphic card to not get recognized properly.
* Audio: Sigmatel 9221 A1 works using Sigmatel9200.zip ; Had to try a few times before I finally got it to work. use the same instructions used for the ethernet by changing the kext name from AppleIntel8255.kext to AppleHDA.kext in the terminal command. Also have a creative usb soundcard that shows up as usbAudio and works flawlwssly.
* IDE, SATA and USB work perfectly out of box.
* NOTE: sleep/Wake doesn't work correctly so it's better to disable sleep and only let the monitor turn off

Ok, even I am confused.

You say you have a Dell Dimension E510/5100? But with an AMD? All my searches for a Dell Dimension E510/5100 bring up it having a Pentium 4 in it...

But, in any sense, you should try our just released public beta of iPC OSx86. It has support for your AMD processor (if that is what you really have), and it's at 10.5.6.

Just please read the notes carefully if you decide to use it.

What happens exactly, please give more information rather than one sentence responses. Do you get to the darwin prompt? If so enter the boot flag -v (verbose mode) and post here what it fails on.
