Hey everyone.

I have now fully working leopard. No crashes but i need to mod it.

Here is what i whant to do:
*Install windows after leopard is installed.
*Make leopard auto boot(now i have to choose which partition i want to boot even if in other is only documents, I changed timeout from 5 to 0 but now only timer gone and i still have to choose)
*Is it possible to make os X install DVD from my current installation so next time i format pc i just put DVD and press install ? no choosing of drivers and etc.

400GB Sata HDD, 2 partitions

First I have to know a bit more about your installation:

- Which image did you use for installation? Which version of OS X do you have, and which kernel version (look in About this Mac -> More information -> Software).
- If you have 4GB RAM installed, make sure you have the 64bit adapted AppleNForceATA.kext installed, otherwise you'll get problems with some software. You can test it if you boot with -v, if there are outputs like

Command Active 300ms
Command Recovery 30 ms
Data Recovery 30ms
UDMA timing 0xc6

- Are you using GUID or MBR partition table for your system? Start Utilities/Disk Utility and select your harddisk. At the bottom are shown some information, also about the partition table scheme.

Add these information in your signature, so it's readable anytime. Now to your questions:

- If you want to install Windows on the same harddisk, I have no idea, but there are some guides out there. But I would recommend a seperate HD for installation. But if you're no gamer, try a virtual Windows installation in a Parallels or VMware. So you can run Mac and Windows programs at the same time and there's no need to reboot. With 4 GB you have enough RAM to run a virtual machine and OS X at the same time.
- Is the first or the second partition the MacOS partition? Normally it should be the first one. How to fix it is depending on the image and the partition table. - No this isn't possible (yet). But did you take a look at my installation guide (http://www.infinitemac.com/f19/guide-creating-a-very-safe-os-x-system-t1234/)? I'm using a three-partition-system that works with two boot partitions and makes use of disk images, so you can easily restore your system after nearly every crash. Also take a look at my Disk Utility (http://www.infinitemac.com/f19/disk-utility-make-full-use-of-it-t1382/) guide - this program can do more than just partitioning harddisks.

Tip: I would recommend to make the MacOS boot partition not too small. If you want to use programs like Logic or Final Cut they need about 80-90 GB each, also Photoshop needs a lot of space. If you want to run a virtual Windows XP you need 5 GB minimum. Music, videos and DVD images also need a lot of space. If you have the money, buy a seperate harddisk, the Samsung Spinpoint HD103UJ Terabyte harddisk is great (about 80-90 Euro in Germany). It's fast, big, quiet and it stays cool after long use. So use the OS X partition only for software, if you want to backup your data you need only to backup yor home folder sometimes. If the system is totally crashed, you can restore it with an disk image (when using my system) and copy your home folder back. That's easy.

Really nice help i will try to gather the info u required but i no longer need 64 bit AppleNforceATA drivers. My leopard is going without crashes. I am using iPC osx86 10.5.6 version with voodoo kernel 1.0 :)

Could you take a look here (http://www.infinitemac.com/f36/ipc-osx86-leopard-10-5-6-intel-amd-t1792/post20281.html)? Do you have the same problems with iPC? BTW, I would update to the 64bit drivers, I presume they will become standard.
If you have problems running PowerPC programs, boot with -legacy or add it to your apple.com.boot.plist. That uses 32bit mode on AMD.

i am allways on 32 bit mode, never tried 64 (but i will). I said that i dont need that 64 bit ATA driver becouse i already installed it. And i had none of those problems you posted.

About quick time: I never use it so i dont actually have that problem. My favourite player is VLC and i dont need others. I use it in windows and osx. :) and when i scale movie on full screen (my monitor 1680x1050) it eats from 6-to 7 CPU :) and it doesnt need any codecs everything integrated.
