With the new Voodoo kernel out, is it now possible to run Leopard with 4GB of RAM on an AMD machine? I know there were issues before about this but I would really like to add more RAM if its possible. BTW, I use DDR PC3200 type of RAM so not sure if that makes any difference.

The 4gb ram problems were caused by the hard disk drivers only supporting 32bit addresses. If you've got a board that uses kexts based on AppleVIAATA like nForce, you'll need to replace your drivers with these ones (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=127611&mode=linear) :)

I have Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard. It does have nForce 4 chipset so those drivers should fix the issue right? Also do I need to use all the kexts posted on there? I mean these three:

So I bought 2GB RAM yesterday and I installed the AppleVIAATA kext from the iPC DVD that is suppose to fix the 4GB RAM issue. Everything was working great at night but today in the morning, my system had crashed.
So now I have also installed the AppleNForce kext early in the morning and will see what happens. Just wanted to post the update just in case if there's something else I need to do which I might have missed.

The A8N-SLI is uses a nForce chipset so you would need to use the AppleNForceATA kext.

No problem here.
Leopard 10.5.6, Voodoo kernel , AMD Phenom 9500, K9A2 CF, 4GB DDR2 800.

One other thing I noticed is that 4GB of RAM shows 333MHz speed. I'm not sure if there's any limitation with the A8N-SLI boards that does it. Couldn't find any settings in BIOS to allow me to change it to 400MHz.

I have almost the same board (plain A8N-SLI) and it does have the option to set ram bus. I´m working right now but I´ll guide you once I get home.

Make sure all the ram in your system is the same speed otherwise all the sticks will run at the slowest ram's speed.
