I installed iPC 10.5.6 on my Dell X300 laptop. It's about 5 years old, and didn't have any issues taking the installation. I keep getting kernel panics and don't know how to get around them. I did a -v and tried -legacy and nothing works. The line it freezes at is:
"using 5898 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers"
It's an Intel Centrino @ 1.2GHz, 1 GB RAM, 120GB HDD. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Update: I've tried reinstalling several times using different Kernels and so far I still get the same thing with each kernel. I've tried doing a bland install with no drivers and same thing. Maybe it's my laptop? Not sure.
