View Full Version : Install Hangs at "About 15 Minutes"

So I've tried installing three times, and each time ends the same, with the installer hanging with "About 15 minutes" left in the install. I let it go for 2 days and had the same results.

OS version is: Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD Intel_Amd (sse2/sse3) EFI V8

Hardware --
Motherboard: Asus P5RD1-V
Chipset: ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 / ULI M1573
Video: Integrated ATI RADEON X300 GPU
RAM: 512MB DDR2
Proc: CPU Intel Celeron D 2.66GHz (single core)
HDD: Maxtor IDE 120GB

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Try a different, newer distro such as iPC. You may have better luck with it.

u could check the log installer window, or burn again the DVD

I used to get this with kalyway 10.5.2 . I ended up running install with the active log installer window open and moving the mouse every few minutes.

Otherwise, 10.5.2 kalyway is ANCIENT. Move on to a more moden distro..
