Hello.
I have an Asus Laptop with the next specs:
AMD TURION 64 X2 TL 60 - 2 Ghz
2GB RAM
ATI RADEON 2600 HD 256MB
Main-board:
CHIPSET ATI RS690/M
SOUTH-BRIDGE ATI SB600
250Gb SATA HDD

I tried many distro but i always had chain0 booting error, now i tried iDeneb v1.4 and i don't get this error anymore.
I successfully installed leopard (only with Voodoo 9.5 and seatbelt kext, no other option) but when i try to boot i get ... still waiting for device...
i haven't any red/yellow line error before of that, just something with Firewire, unable to detect security mode, security mode set to FULL SECURE, or something like that.

i tried to boot with:
platofrm=x86PC -v
rd=disk0s3 -v
didn't work.
I have:
partition 1 primary (backup part)
partition 2 primary (vista)
partition 3 primary (leopard)
I tried Chameleon Bootloader, and now i'm using EasyBCD, and after Chamelon also.

in BIOS, (american megatrends) at Secutity, S-ATA must be LOCKED or UNLOCKED ?

Thanks,
Mihai. (Y)

Have you installed kexts for your chipset ? Root Device error is mostly caused by lack of sata drivers. iPC 10.5.6 release works on SB600 chipset with no problems, maybe give it a try ?

ok, i'l give ipc a try tonigh.
but what kexts should i install? i read that i shouldn't install too many, that i should install after, or something like that.

later edit: i succede to install with E-SATA Locked (not working)
