I now have an Apple Wireless N 300M fully functional in my Compaq Presario. I can now, with confidence, edit bios whitelist and flash bios. Thanks to the entire osx86 community for any help and tips.
If you need any help I am here for you. I intend writing a tutorial on how I done it.

I am trying to get a replacement WLAN card for my DV7z laptop having F.23 InsydeH2O Bios having incompatible Atheros 5007 card.

currently I have installed LEO4ALLV1 for AMD upgraded to 10.5.5.

Can you tell me how to get list of supported WLAN cards from BIOS?


I am thinking of getting the broadcom bcm4312 card but i am not sure if it is supported.

bcm4312 should be fine in OS X but I need to know VEN DEV and SUBSYS ids to see if your bios will accept it.

Actually I was trying to find out how to get the white list myself :D .

I'm owner of a Compaq CQ70, which now is 90% ok on OS X.5.6 ( no wifi & input sound), and I have the message of error 104 :

I 've ordered a BCM 94321MC and I try to put in it but this f**kin' error 104 still there...So I only have WiFi in my (astala)VISTA dual boot with Atheros 5007 at now.

I try to modify my F32A bios with phoenix bios tools but I can't find the .WPH ...
I only have a 360BF32.FD which is only opened with Insyde Flash...

Is it possible for you to explain how you are proceeded to remove this blacklisted's wifi cards ?

Yeah im having the same issus with a Compaq CQ50-130us.

We have the same bios download (F28 A) with the same f**kin file from the extracted /SWSetup/SP41968 folder. (360BF32.fd)

Does anyone know how to edit the whitelist from the proprietary .fd format that hp is using now instead of the .wph file?

I tried renaming the file into a .wph file but of course that didnt work as the Pheonix Bios Editor didn't find anything in it.

After buying a blacklisted Broadcom A,B,G,N WiFi miniPCI card(BCM94321) :-&, I have downloaded the maintenance guide of my COMPAQ CQ70-118ef on HP's website.
After reading all the datasheet, I found that HP&Compaq laptop were fitted with Atheros 5007EG or Broadcom BCM94312MCG for Europe ( Rest of the World they said ! ) : after a quick search on InfiniteMac & InsanelyMac community , I saw that the Broadcom 4312MCG was fully accepted in MacOSX as an Airport Adapter.
So I have goggled on Web, in order to find an original HP's used WiFi card, and I've found it with the HP's SPS-Number 459263-002, for only 20$ in Singapore.
I receive it, I put it on my Compaq, I re-install iPC 10.5.6 with Broadcom kext and....

:D THE MIRACLE !

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AIRPORT fully OK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, only the HDMI port is disable, but the rest is OK.
